“If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other” Mother Teresa
Today we took a poem for PEACE from the PWRDF booklet, added some doves and enlarged it. A printed copy was inserted into each bulletin.
We purchased miniature white doves which we glued to a small rock.
Dove for Peace Rock – “On this rock I will build my church”
Reverend Anne (Germond) spoke to the children about being peacemakers at home, school, and play. The doves were placed in the shape of a “p” on the children’s table at the end of service each child was given one to take home.
It was quite an impressive service. One of our teens read the Peace poem and our music group the Electric Kazoo played the hymns, and led us in song. The words for all the hymns were on the overhead screen. Erma Howe sang a lovely rendition of “Make Me a Channel of Your Peace”.
