"For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope." - Jeremiah 29:11

Our youth are involved in weekly Bible Study on Sunday evenings at 7:00pm. This Bible Study class has been organized to cater to the youth of our parish and community but it is open to any adults who would like to deepen their faith through study. This fall Fr. Jeff is unpacking the book of Genesis.

Youth Synod is a spiritual weekend for Anglicans aged 13 through 24 throughout the Diocese of Algoma. It is held on the August long weekend at Camp Manitou in Whitefish Falls and is a time for reflecting, listening, sharing and of course having fun! Every year, the ACW group from the Church of the Ascension sends two or three delegates to Youth Synod, and everyone has a blast.

Camp Manitou is located in Whitefish Falls, a short drive from Sudbury. Many of the Ascension youth spend time at Camp Manitou during the summer where they go hiking, swimming, and enjoy many activities, including prayer. It is a time to meet new friends, and enjoy one another’s company. Not only do Anglicans go to this amazing camp, but people of all ages go too. Camp Manitou is enjoyed by many as they offer a large variety of camp themes. For more information about this camp, follow the link provided.
